Gulika Kalam is a moderately inauspicious period in the Tamil Panchangam, ruled by Gulika (a shadow planet associated with Saturn). It occurs once per day and its timing varies by day of the week, calculated from local sunrise. Starting new activities during Gulika Kalam is traditionally avoided.

Yamagandam is a mildly inauspicious time period in the Tamil calendar, ruled by Yama (the god of death). It occurs daily and is derived from the local sunrise time. Along with Rahu Kaal and Gulika Kalam, it is one of three inauspicious windows tracked in the Tamil Panchangam.
