About Working Hours Overlap
What is a "working hours overlap"?
A working hours overlap is the time window during which both India (typically 9 AM–6 PM IST) and your target country are within their standard business hours simultaneously. This is the ideal window to schedule live video calls or meetings.
Why does daylight saving time matter?
India does not observe daylight saving time (DST) — IST stays at UTC+5:30 year-round. However, countries like the USA, UK, and Australia do observe DST, which shifts their offset from India twice yearly (in spring and autumn). This changes your overlap window.
What if there's no overlap?
Some countries (like Los Angeles, parts of South America) have no daytime overlap with India. In these cases, one party will need to join very early morning or late evening. Async communication (email, recorded video, shared documents) is often more practical.
